Mission: SWABDC has been established since 1992. Our mission is to work with individuals and communities in our region in the areas of community and economic development; to assist in the creation of additional permanent private sector employment through the provision of advisory and investment services to small businesses.

Services: We provide entrepreneur programs for youth and disabled; self-employment program assistance/mentoring for individuals starting a new business; business loans; community development – feasibility studies, strategic planning; assistance with plans for community development projects; small business workshops – bookkeeping, marketing, management, customer service, business planning and consulting.

Services: McBride Career Group has been offering Career Services to Albertans in rural communities for the past 7 years.  We are pleased to be able to offer these services to the Claresholm community every Wednesday at the Claresholm Library.  Coaches will offer assistance with resume and cover letter development, job search, interview skills and career assessments. These No Cost services are offered in partnership with the Province of Alberta and the Government of Canada to provide employment support programs and services.
